Education: 

Carina Maranga has graduated in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Algarve, Faro, Portugal, in 2014. At the final year of graduation, she developed a research project entitled of “Evaluation of oxidative stress in retinal cells from experimental models of diabetes“ at Gene Therapy Laboratory, Centre for Molecular and Structural Biomedicine, University of Algarve. In the same year, she joined the Master in Cell and Molecular Biology with specialization in Neurobiology at University of Coimbra. Currently, Carina is performing her master thesis work with a Huntington’s disease mice model and oxidative stress at the research group “Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Signaling in Neurodegeneration” at the Center of Neuroscience and Cell Biology of the University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal.
