Graduated in 1994 in Biochemistry by the University of Coimbra, in 1999 obtained a Master's Degree in Cellular Biology, with the study "Kinetic analysis of the first steps involved in cellular infection promoted by the influenza virus," and in 2007 obtained the degree of Doctor in Biochemistry with the study "Interaction of virus provided with a lipid envelope with cells in culture: from the early stages of internalization to nuclear import", from the same university. Between January 2009 and January 2011 was Assistant Professor in part-time in the University School Vasco da Gama, playing conducting functions of the courses in Biochemistry I and Biochemistry II in the Integrated Study Cycle leading to the Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine. Since 2006 is Technician at CNC, being responsible for the Flow Cytometry Unit and for the Cell Culture Rooms.
